Made from a drug called Botulinum Toxin, Botox injections cause muscles to relax to prevent or minimise lines and wrinkles.
Typically administered around the forehead, between the eyebrows and eyes, anti-wrinkle injections will subtly smooth and soften the skin, giving you a more youthful complexion.
The treatment can take up to seven days to take full effect and results can last for up to six months.
Dr Dodd will always tailor the treatment based on the results you’re looking for. He has significant experience in administering anti-wrinkle injections, and understands what needs to be done to achieve a natural look.
Results can last up to 12 months, but this can vary depending on a number of factors including the volume injected and lifestyle factors such as smoking and sun exposure.
What to expect during treatment
Anti-wrinkle treatments take very little time to complete, but can depend on the number of areas being treated. You can expect to feel some mild discomfort from the needle, but it lasts seconds.
Is it right for me?
Dr Dodd will be able to assess your suitability for the treatment by asking a few questions about your general health and reasons for having the treatment. If you have any concerns, do raise these with him before treatment.
What happens afterwards?
Anti-wrinkle injections usually have very few side effects. You may experience some soreness, bruising or swelling, but these should disappear quickly. You should start to see results after about a week.
