Dermal Fillers

Dermal filler injections are used to ‘fill out’ areas of the face, reducing lines, folds and wrinkles in the process. Based on your problem areas, Dr Dodd will be able to define exactly where to inject the product, in order to achieve the desired result.

When administered properly, dermal fillers subtly help to create a more youthful, refreshed look.

What to expect during treatment

Typically, a number of needles will be used to inject the product into key target areas around the face. To ensure the fillers are administered with precision, Dr Dodd may choose to mark the face so he injects at exactly the right point. Depending on how many areas are being treatment, the procedure is quick and relatively pain free. You may feel some slight discomfort when the needle touches your skin, but this will not last long.

Is it right for me?

If you are concerned about lines on your face – or simply want to have a more refreshed look – dermal fillers may be an option for you. However, Dr Dodd will only be able to advise when he sees you for a consultation and understands the results you’re looking for.

What happens afterwards?

There may be some swelling, bruising or discomfort around the areas of the face that have been treated. However, this should quickly disappear meaning you can typically carry on with your normal routine immediately.
